The Short Version
Full Disclosure
CankerScience participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We may also participate in other affiliate programs from time to time.
When you click a product link on this site and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. The price you pay is identical to what you would pay visiting the retailer directly — affiliate programs do not add cost to you.
This disclosure is made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 guidelines on endorsements and testimonials.
How Affiliate Revenue Affects Our Recommendations
It doesn't — at least not in the direction you might expect.
Every product recommendation on this site is tied to a specific evidence level (strong / moderate / weak / debunked). A product only appears on this site if the underlying treatment or ingredient has legitimate research support. We do not recommend supplements or treatments because they have affiliate programs; we add affiliate links to products we were already going to recommend.
We explicitly debunk treatments that lack evidence — including some with affiliate-friendly products available — because accurate information is the entire point of this site. If you see something labeled "Debunked," that verdict stands regardless of whether a commission was available.
